Lesson 01

Warm-Up

Pattern #1

Attempt to practice this single-string pattern one to three times as a "warm-up" in order to teach your fingers to work independently.

These warm-up exercises are like a baseball player warming up in the "on-deck" circle.  You are warming up all four fingers.

Pattern #2

This is a more advanced pattern that incorporates a rhythm pattern based on the Rolling Stones hit song, "Satisfaction."

Try practicing this pattern on each string.  Remember to go slowly.  Accuracy with your fingers on the correct frets is way more important than speed.

Play-Along Practice Session

This "Play-Along" video is just a bit over 12-minutes and incorporates the two Exercise Patterns above. This is exactly how your PRACTICE SESSION should go.  If you play along with the video, you'll be accomplishing several important things.

✅  First, you be performing "reps" which is absolutely crucial to learning guitar.

✅  Next, you'll be learning the fretboard and where the fret markers are located on your guitar.

✅  Finally, these exercises are designed to help your fingers move independently.

So, grab your guitar an play-along with me...!
